Habs 8, Wild 1: Perfect Sunday

Todd Richards to his team after sucking this weekend

Back on track after a good day's rest. The Wild had done to them what the Habs had Thursday/Friday and were the victim of a real shitty schedule. Only they didn't have to travel, so they basically slept at the rink. Hockey would be more consistent if not for the stupid back-to-back bullshit. Habs have 9 games left and one back-to-back.

I bet Winnipeg was REALLY empty today.
- Thunder Bay too.
- I expected big things from Pouliot today but mostly thought he'd just end up getting the shaft for goalie inteference again. Nope! Ends with 3 assists and the 3rd star.
- You have NO idea how much I love Auld's mask.
- Ryan White. That is all.
- And that was charging by Stoner on Palushaj. Don't know why the League needs to make the rule any clearer. How about getting the refs to call it for a change?
- But who needs refs when you got Ryan White.
- As good as Andrei Markov is, he would never pull the moves PK pulls. I've seen him circle the offensize zone and walk the line like that many times. This time his centering pass went off a skate and in. Couldn't have happened to a better dude.
- And don't you DARE shake you head at PK ever again, Perry Pearn. Talk about a total square. Egads! Spunky creativity! It must be stopped!
- The smile Moen gave Gomez was priceless when he scored.
- One more goal for twenty, Andrei! Suck it haterz.
- Jose Theodore left early and Tomas Jagr wasn't even playing.
- Cammy was. The one legged wait 'til a sprawling Brent Burns slides by you pass to Wiz. Top shelf with a rocket. They were just having fun.
- I still didn't see the hand on the puck thing but whatever. At least it was Koivu.
- Pyatt scores with stereo! The Thunder Bay section cheers!
- I love Cal Clutterbuck but don't you DARE touch Gionta again!
- Too many game pucks needed for today but at the buzzer, PK tossed the one on the ice to crowd. They tossed him hats, he tosses pucks!
- And Moen did a mini triple low-five with him. They cut his tie later. (Bet it was Price with the scissors).

Last time the Habs scored eight goals Alex Auld played for the Bruins and chased him out of the net pretty quick. Good to be on the winning side eh Alex? Speaking of the Hated Bear Tribe of the East. Who's 1 point behind them? Da Habs.

Go Bulldogs!

Habs 5, Devils 1: Clash of the Giontas

OK it wasn't that epic a showdown, but we got pictures of BABY GIONTAS on our TV so we all instantly win.

This was how you were supposed to play the Oilers yesterday. Consequently those cocky little bastards beat the Leafs 5-0 so I'll Nelson laugh at that. But it was a good bounce back game, particularly to take advantage on the Devils who suck and don't have Brodeur playing. Oddly enough the Devils were on a 4-game winning streak at home and won their last few games in shootouts or shutouts so it was really up to the Habs to make a statement and crush them like the bottom-feeding team they are. Regardless of the score, it got to the point where the Habs weren't really trying to score but nearly did anyway. I swear Price took extra steps on his saves to keep himself awake.

My only problem for tonight's game other than falling asleep on Arnott's goal: PK was a healthy scratch. He manned up for what happened last night. He spoke like a veteran while Cammy pouted in the corner. He wasn't the only one at fault. Either way he better not sit for a long time. Picard can take his erratic play to the pressbox. And see what happens when Weber plays defense? He's actually effective! A shocker! I know! (Of course you could always give one of the old dudes a night off but LOL who am I kidding, this is Jacques Martin we're talking about).

Release the Kraken:
- It took 11 seconds for Gionta to score.
- And he hit the post right after that.
- Lars Eller made roadkill of the Moose.
- The only guys incapable of taking a pass from Price are Ye Olde Czech Defense pairings, the Wonder Twins of Hamr and Spacek. The rest? Well, when they skate, and he passes, there's an even flow of movement. Who knew moving your feet works?
- Rookie ref? How could you not see that was a goal by Pyatt.
- When Gomez scores on the powerplay for the 2nd time in 2 games can we stop with the call-ins asking to dump his ass in Hamilton?
- Of course missing that wide open net and his lone -1 kind of stands out.
- Also Weber is WAY better than Bergeron so stop wondering why the Habs don't want that liability on the roster.
- I noticed Cammy had an A on his sweater. Happy now? (Yes, I know Markov's A now floats around the group).
- Pouliot's 2 wrongs and 2 rights, but he scored a laser so he's only slightly pissing me off.
- And I swear I saw Lou Lamoriello heading for the light switch once it was 5-0 with still 10 minutes left in the 2nd.
- Honestly, with 2 minutes left NOW you send a 3-man forecheck on the Habs? A little late, no?
- And with 10 seconds left in a 5-1 game was a little futile as well.
- Brian and Stephen Gionta are the same height but Brian has the hands.
- No triple low-fives, no fun. Instead, Price gets Pleky's smelly gloves stuck in his mask.

Seriously, these are not the Devils you were looking for. Late in the second, Hamr and Eller took minor penalties at the same time putting the Devils on a full 2 minute 5-on-3. You got Kovalchuk out there. I think the Devils only got 2 shots on net and I don't think any where his... What few fans that team had in the stands that night booed them mercilessly and pretty much all left save for a few masochists.

The Pyatt Club breathes sigh of relief for a year

Various members of the Tom Pyatt Fan Club, including myself, are pleased with today's news that the solid two-way center supposed "throw in" from the Gomez trade is now signed for the year. I'd have preferred a few years, but one will do for now.

Interesting how the Rangers now have absolutely nothing left of what we sent them in that trade. Not even hometown hero Master Higgins. OK they still technically have McDonagh and Tank (haha riiiiiight) but will they ever use them?

Oh and Pouliot is signed for the year as well with his 10% pay increase. Just stay away from the bars please, else you find yourself shipped back to Minnesota.

Round 3 Game 3: Refreshing 5-1 smackdown

Leighton's 5-hole openeth.

So much better, Habs. This is how you're supposed to play. This is what brought you success. Attack, attack, and attack some more. Did Guy Boucher give Jacques Martin a call? And no you stupid fans, getting outshot does not mean instant victory. This time Habs outshot the Flyers again, but finally played smarter and played better, and won by a convincing margin.

Hugs on the bench. Hugs on the ice. Back in business. Though we gotta talk about Rhino, Coach. WHO CARES if he put the puck over the glass on his first shift. Don't punish the kid for that! It didn't cause any damage anyway. That 1:34 is a fucking travesty. Yet Bergeron can fail and fail and fail some more, but hey he scored the meaningless 5th goal so that means he can continue to play almost 20 grey-hair inducing minutes regardless of how much of a trainwreck he is 5-on-5 (or how many flubbed bluelines he had when it was actually time to care). At least PK seems to stay out the entire powerplay now.

Of course once the game was completely out of reach for the pumpkins, the goonery resurfaced. Most notably Briererere tossing his purse around. Seems to enjoy whacking PK with it.

Keep going for the head you little pissant.

Cammy continues to woo my heart. BabyPyatt and the rest of his line saved the game. Lapierre keeps making funny faces and pissing off the League. Dominic Fucking Moore will now terrorize the OTHER teams for a change and remain the meaning of life. Holy shit how fast was Gio going on that goal? So fast Pronger forgot to breathe past his -3. Hamr, the number one star tonight, with 2 assists and a plus fucking 4, and the only one fed up enough to tangle with Sideshow Bob Hartnell. Gets bonus points for not ploughing into his goalie, or putting the puck in his own net, and for looking like the good Hamr we love (but will promptly poop on the next time the old man resurfaces and chugs around the ice looking like he wishes he could retire).

Versus called the Habs play "pack mentality". They were hounding the Flyers all night. It was so exciting Bob Cole fell asleep.

Despite the honks you heard on the streets and the happy parade outside the Bell Center, Habs aren't out of the woods yet. But that fortuitous bounce is heading right for Michael Leighton and regardless of how big he is, in the end, he's still Michael Leighton. Especially if Pronger is too busy worrying about Gionta skate figure eights around him.

Round 2 Game 4: Out for Justice

Only team "out for justice" are the Habs, you whiny twerpy pricks.

Speaking of playoff slogans, what are the Habs using? I don't think they ever had a slogan...considering their jersey is a slogan. Or the slogan over the door that connects the room to the rink. Or the slogan (quote) on the wall from "In Flanders Fields".

Dominic Moore gave us "blood in the beard": a slogan that defines this team's character. No matter the odds, get smacked in the face, don't depend on the shitty officials, and keep on going.

I have never seen this team this close together since '93 where, when things were looking bleak, they were practically in each others arms terrified together at the prospect of being eliminated until fortune finally shone on them with an illegal stick. Tonight, as the final seconds ticked away and the Pens pulled Fleury for an extra man, not ONE person was seated on the bench. Each player were on their feet, some leaning over the boards, on the edge, Price was snuggled in close and banging on the glass. When the puck cleared the first time they all jumped and cheered like they scored a goal. When the game was over they poured over the boards as if they won the Cup already. They're so close and excited you can't help but fall in love with them.

...Can Gionta get his C now, please?

Round 2 Game 4: Why you so far, Abbotsford

What a silly system of 2-3-2 for the playoffs... Heat currently lead 2-1. C'mon Bulldogs, do like your big brothers did tonight. (*edit* Doesn't look like they will, now it's 4-1 Heat).

Quote of the night (during 2nd intermission):
Patrick Williams "Habs are the Abbotsford Heat of the NHL"
Derek Wills "...but more skilled and less stupid."

Round 2 Game 2: There's been a robbery!

Stolen: Home ice. If located please contact your local official so he might hand out the appropriate penalties.

And after the one error that caused a hilarious "what the fuck are you doing" look by Muller to Martin (oh that was awesome), the Habs wised up, pushed the Pens outside, kept them clear of the front of the net and the center and generally annoyed the piss out of them so much so that Crosby completely flipped out. The shot total? Who cares. Most were perimeter shots and fairly routine. If there's one thing people have discovered this year it's that you can't win on the back of one player alone. Sure you can win a game, but not a series.

First off, this goal was fucking awesome.

Oh and McAwkward? Cammy doesn't even reach over the crossbar. That's like calling Gio for highsticking.

Where would we be without Mike Cammalleri? Well, we wouldn't have any goals scored. Likewise it's tough without Markov but Subban totally makes up for his loss. That kid, the kid I called a mini Bobby Orr and no one believed me, over 20 minutes of ice time in only his fourth playoff game and he's already got a goal and two assists. Hal Gill, oh what can we say of Hal Gill that even Crosby wants to give him hugs. Gorges, Hamr, even Bergeron was decent enough on D, that a ragged Jaro was able to get his form back and not worry too much. Gomez and Gionta, joined at the hip, and Pouliot is slowly figuring out what to do in the playoffs. Pyatt doesn't need points, he's supposed to prevent them. Moore and Lapierre, organized and defiant.

We know what this team is made off. Character. Will their character win out in the end? No idea. But they'll continue to work on it, and continue to try, and hopefully continue to befuddle TSN and CBC and all the annoying sports network talking heads that just don't get it. (Memo to Brian Wilde: please shut up, you make yourself look and sound like such a tool after every game).

Round 2 Game 2: Same for the Dogs!
If character is what describes our Habs, the same could be said for our Bulldogs in their own 3-1 win on the Heat to tie the series back up. Take Ryan White: scores a goal early in the first, takes a puck to the face near the end of the 1st, spends the whole 2nd period getting stitched up, and returns in the 3rd with a full face shield, doesn't miss a bit, doesn't let up on how he plays, comes out to accept his game star covered in blood.

Now they spend 3 games in Abbotsford to try and win this series.

Habs 3, Sabres 0: Full circle

FINALLY!

If last night abhorrent display of hockey was any indication for tonight's game, well, that's why we keep watching right? Where they failed to protect their goalie, where they failed to apply pressure, where they failed to give the opposing goalie anything difficult, tonight they succeded.

Perhaps it was because the Habs have problems when the other team plays like crap. When their system is broken, they can't handle it. Are they that structured that in order to properly take on a team, that team itself needs to be good and structured itself?

And contrary to their previous ventures, Jaro didn't have to steal anything. I think the D made more saves than he did. AND THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO SEE!

Hockey is a team game. And when you play solid as a team you get results. There was no epic meltdown in the final seconds tonight (as annoying as it is to see that happen but to see them fix their mistake makes it all good).

I'm finishing up fast 'cause I got new Doctor Who to watch OMG~!
- Back-to-back shutouts for Jaro.
- The Third Line was the star of the show. Sergei was back and his return really solidifies Moore and Moen.
- Rhino scored into the PROPER net for once! (Although the puck had gone out of play and no one noticed except Moore, but he did try to tell them!)
- Of course Rhino nearly fell into his own net and nearly scored on himself just before.
- Sergei reminded us what a 3rd period goal looked like.
- Pyatt gave us a prime example of pure Bulldogs hockey and made Tyler Myers look silly. (Yea he'll probably win the Calder, but eh...so did Samsonov).
- Lindy Ruff got upset and sent out the goons near the end. See you in the playoffs, douche.
- And when stuff got rough, everyone had each other's back. Though Lappy really shouldn't fight, but he couldn't get in a good position and had no choice but to defend himself on the guy swinging at his head.
- Our PK is good, our PP however has died a horrible death. At least they're scoring 5-on-5 now.

Habs started this season's series with Price stealing a win for them. Habs ended this season's series by dominating the Division Leader with a very convincing win.

Full circle.

Habs 4, Bruins 1: Olympic hangover

One down, eighteen games to go. Funny how that snuck up on us all, eh?

The Bruins have officially bored their home crowd to death. Sometimes I think they're worse than the Devils in that DEFENSE FIRST shell of Claude Julien. We make fun of Lemaire and Martin for that system, but what about him? When the most exciting offense you get is coming from old man Recchi, there's something wrong. Even teacher's pet Michael Ryder has turned back into the lame Michael Ryder Bob Gainey didn't want to sign. There's a very solid reason why he lost his spot to Sergei Kostitsyn...

It's weird seeing regular hockey now. There are no cowbells. There's no automatic icing. I wish we had brought over the crease violation rule but whatever. The "U!S!A!" chant was redundant, especially considering there are more Canadians on the Bruins than Americans... Congrats, Bruins. You have an Olympic benchwarmer.

And after using two periods to find the magic again, Habs exploded on Tuukka Rask for 4 unanswered goals including a sad empty netter just as Rask had left (poor kid). I didn't even realize the net was empty. Actually I don't even think Pouliot knew the net was empty until he just happened to look up before dumping it in.

Price hasn't lost a beat. Having his buddy Rask on the other end of the rink was interesting too. And you know Price is comfy when he stickhandles around a forechecker and calmly passes the puck to his defenceman.

Andrei Kostitsyn is shaking off the rust. And playing on the line with his brother this time is perfect.

HMCS Hal Gill was huge.

Andrei Markov didn't look like the man we saw struggle through the Olympics.

And as the first and second line weren't eble to capitalize or finish, the third and fourth line picked up the slack. Metro with his wonderful ability to destroy his former teams (reason number 1 on why Glen Metropolit must remain a Hab: we need the goals on the Bruins, Flyers, Capitals, Thrashers, etc). The Concordia in me is still capable of cheering for the McGill in Darche Vader. I really like Lapierre with Moore and Moen, even if I was a tad lukewarm on the trade for Moore. If it lights a fire under Lapierre's ass, then I'm happy. I WILL BE VERY SAD IF TOM PYATT GOES BACK TO HAMILTON YOU HEAR ME, JACQUES?! Especially if he's replaced with Dagger or Bergeron.

(Edit: Nevermind... Dagger's been traded to the Blues for a U of Michigan boy. I'll miss those eyebrows but I'm intrigued by this Palushaj kid. HE GOES TO THE NET!)

You dropped something, Tuukka.

Habs head West. It won't be easy...but we'll get to see Saku again!

Fail the Podium

Case in point if this were a team of spunky unknowns, perhaps the loss Sunday wouldn't be so aggravating? All I can think of while watching that game was "WHO ATE ALL THE PIES?! BRODEUR ATE ALL THE PIES! YOU FAT BASTARD!" Learn to butterfly and two of those goals don't go in. Meh. Where's Jordan Eberle when you need him...

Do I have any confidence in 7UONGO? Well, it's Germany. Lose to that and the whole country will collectively explode. At least we got ICE DANCERS!

Unfortunately there are no free wings when the Bulldogs score 5 goals...

Went to see the Bulldogs play the Bell Center and finally win a game there. Totally helped that the Baby-Flyers suck. I guess Matsumoto got into the All-Star Game for having great hair and being King Invisible. Easiest shutout Desjardins will ever get, in fact they seemed wary of giving him a star (he got 3rd) considering he had maybe one tough save that was more of a fluke. Save of the day was off his post and crossbar! Lord help us if he ever joins the Habs permanently (unless we get some awesome defense). It's really not that tough to get a shutout when you're goalie for the Bulldogs, and he almost screwed it up himself by insisting on playing the puck when he has no idea what to do with it. Meanwhile the Flyers continue to seek a proper goaltender...

Pyatt has his own fanclub!

Pyatt and Trotter scored twice and Grant Stevenson got a sweet shorthanded goal. Ceremonial faceoff was between Alex Henry and Jared Ross, and if you don't know how that looks then think of Chara vs Gionta. Brother's zinger of the night, "That's the only faceoff Henry will ever win." Discovery of the night: Apparently Conboy does faceoffs now. Mindfuck of the night was when the B-Flyers own Stevenson took a penalty on our Stevenson. But the Phantoms had so many powerplays yet apparently have no idea what to do on the powerplay. They all tried to cherry pick instead and the Dogs didn't let them succeed at that.

Can we keep them?

Habs 6, Caps 5 (OT): Defibrillator!

Montreal Canadiens players seen here heading for the rink.

Before you send in your angry calls or post your raving forum posts, understand this: The Washington Capitals, during 14-game win streak, have outscored opponent 30-6 in the 3rd period. We saw it Sunday when they came back and destroyed the Penguins, taking it to OT and then burying them in OT on a crap powerplay call.

The Washington Capitals are the best team in the League. They have scored the most goals in the League. If they ever find themselves an awesome goaltender... Hell, they're scary WITH their weak goaltending.

The Washington Capitals have everything going for them, and the louder Boudreau screams at a young ref, the more penalties they receive for all their diving and the less they get called against them.

And after sitting on the bench since January 27th in a 3-0 loss to Tampa Bay, Carey Price gets to come in behind a depleted team patched together with various Bulldogs to face this offensive juggernaut, to face 38 crazy shots, to face Ovechkin, Semin, Laich, Fleischmann, Fehr, Knubble who lives in the crease, Backstrom, and watches his best friend nearly get decapitated by a Mike Green rocket. Five goals against this team? Most people were betting the score would end 112-2 Caps. Most people figured Ovechkin alone would get 50 shots on net.
Top it off, the Habs are running out of defencemen.

All day long, starting with the annoying PJ Stock who somehow found his way onto CHOM in the morning, I heard it. "Just forget about tonight's game, go to see the Caps." People questioned why Price was starting, forgetting that Jaro's tendency to drop his rebounds in front would just invite more trouble with the Caps. People were thinking if he gets shelled, people can just brush it off as a cold goalie behind an injury-ravaged team, c'est bien normal. The excuses were starting early. Even my producer told me we're so screwed. I just shrugged. Only Mitch Melnick said "you never know with this team." I think Mise au Jeux had some rediculous bet going on.

To quote Randy Tieman, "It's why they play the game." Actually, if you call in or post angry, you should just shut up. When you play the Capitals, you play shinny hockey: last goal wins.

Sergei Kostitsyn got the first star thanks to his amazing skill. He keeps showing us why Bob made sure he remained with this team. The Plekannon with the game winner off a Belarusian Sausage, a simple tap in, very simple compared to his sweet wrister earlier that night. Lapierre, alive and kicking. Metro finally kicked the puck into the OTHER net. While fans were setting themselves up for a good beating, Gomez buried the puck 30 seconds into the game and laughed about it. And Pyatt Earp! Fresh off his Bulldogs hattrick, scores a goal and assisted on Gomez's goal.

And Bobby Fucking Clarke can fuck off back to Flin-Flon before he starts talking about things he doesn't know concerning the Habs. He can stop talking about goaltending too.

I gotta say, regardless of blowing the 5-2 lead, this victory considering the pylonic defence, kid callups, and cold goaltender, this OT victory was probably the most satisfying if not most stressful one all year. My only concern is when you're up by a goal with 20 seconds left, that puck has no business being in your zone near your net considering the Caps have this supernatural ability to just will the puck in the net. The Bell Center was dead silent even before the Caps started scoring at will, because everyone knows it ain't over until the clock hits 0. And they almost won in regulation too, which is even more impressive. If the penalty were called, if someone could have hit the empty netter, if they could have just stood up at the blue line and run the clock down... I had my computer closed. I was buried under blankets. I think I held my breath until I saw Sergei waltz up to the net with Pleks for the winner.

I think I might have a few more grey hairs.

Actually, seeing Price in the room after the game, looks like he's got a few grey hairs. Or it's the lighting.

I hope Gorges is ok...

15 seconds

In 15 seconds, a hard fought comeback by the Habs was given the old fuck you as a scramble in the front had an official call a jackass "highstick" penalty to give the Capitals every chance on a 6-on-4. One lost faceoff. One bad move on defence. One more instance of letting people walk up to Price. One more uncleared rebound.

When they sit in the room, they'll probably think about the empty net they couldn't hit. Or maybe the lackadaisy waltzes to the puck with the game on the line. When Price is the fastest skater in the backend to correct a small error where he shot the puck off the glass but instead hit a forechecking Capital who shot it on net as Price scrambled into perfect position to make an amazing save, you gotta look in the mirror and say could have, should have, would have.

The bottom line is you didn't.

Credit is given where credit is due. Yes, they were down 2-0 on 4 shots after the first period, but if you're looking at the numbers you're not watching the game. Picture yourself standing in a field, surrounded, and having bullets whiz by your ears. Put a mask on and paste a number 31 to your back and you'll know how Price was feeling during that opening frame. I don't know what Martin said to them in the room, or maybe Price punched another wall... but they came out in the second finally ready to play properly. Well, good enough anyway. Effort. The kids were amazing once again tonight. Pyatt and White, time to go shopping for more clothes. You're not going anywhere. Pacioretty has the jets on, nevermind his two penalties (they were weak calls). Sergei is proving daily that Jean Perron is a tool, and I don't think he was credited with an assist but his play set up the sequence for Pleky's goal.

Ryan White matched Price with the play of the game, by dropping down to block a shot on the PK with his body and the puck ended up stuck in his crotch.

Noted
- Moen has 6 goals now
- Rhino apparently can spin
- Price spent more time playing 3rd D than goal, including a trip to the blue line to get a lose puck no one else seemed to want.

OMG! GREY CUP! GREY CUP! GO ALS GO!!!!!!!!!!! Roll over those melonheads! WOOOOOO!

Holy Mother of God 2, Hated Bear Tribe of the East 1 (SO): Danger, man possessed

As Price walked away towards the bench to ready himself for OT, I saw the black cloud return. But it wasn't the same "why me" black cloud that we've seen after every game he plays standing on his head yet still loses. It was the black cloud that formed over his head from the smoke of the fire in his eyes, baby! And as he went into the shootout, gloving down a Blake Wheeler shot and throwing it away like he was saying "take this puck and shove it up your ass, motherfucker", there was no doubt it was going to be a win.

Bergeron misses.

Price makes Recchi's shot dissapear like magic.

WIN!

Who's up for a magic trick?

And 42 saves, protecting a 1 goal lead for 59.5 minutes against a desperate Bruins team that RDS kept reminding us haven't scored in 8.9 periodes of hockey, he once again grabbed the first star and made Team990's morning show sound like a bunch of fucktards.

WOO MOTHERFUCKER WOO!
- Bergeron (not Patrice) will be the death of me.
- Tommy Pyatt! Ryan White! Both fit right in with Big Brother Andrei. Finally, he got some linemates that could keep up and be defensive just in case he fucks up.
- Oddly enough Glen Metropolit was on the ice with him instead to convert on his work for the only goal. Must have been between a line change.
- And Pricey wasn't the only one possessed out there, Andrei was everywhere.
- Finally, finally, finally the guys were playing well around Carey. Still managed to get squirrely near the end though...
- POWERPLAY SUCKS YO! BERGERON YOU'RE NOT HELPING!
- Seriously, waive the man, call up Weber. He was better defensively, has the same shot, costs about the same, and could use the "baptism by fire" method we've been giving to Price and Patches (who's playing like a beast these days...how about that whole shift with the helmet off? Scared me when he willingly took a hit on the glass though).
- Carle was a bit better tonight but what the hell was he doing out there on OT juggling at the blue line, Martin?! Are you trying to kill us?!
- Again MAB on the PK? Martin officially nuked the fridge.
- Gomez on the PK though: DO WANT!
- Please don't be hurt, Spacek. Please don't be hurt.
- Guimauve was meh tonight for the most part. Didn't even see much of his epic board battles.
- Lapierre BLAH BLAH BLAH, hey he wasn't going to fight and waste 5 minutes of his time.
- Please win faceoffs. You owe Price a shutout because of faceoff suck.
- Bruins have swine flu. STAY AWAY! (Ok just Krejci).
- Paul Mara had an epiphany, erased Tuesday's fuck ups. Thank ye Lord!
- Hal Gill is slow, yea, but have you ever watched Chara skate...? Also what happened to him shooting from the point? I thought he fixed his shoulder.
- Chara vs Gio: was waiting for this since he came to town. And it was hilarious!
- As the Bs got frustrated, we saw more of the 4th line. Which was frankly probably the better Bruins line for the most part. Though the pushy shovey between Gorges and Begin ended in giggles.
- Please don't get smoked by Blake Wheeler of all people, Gorges my dear. Jesus Price saves! And gets a head pat by White.
- Only in the IIHF can someone score a goal by passing it through the side of the net guys. Deal with it.
- Intentional offside my ass.
- Hilarity of the night: Someone threw glasses on the ice at the ref. Hey isn't that a penalty? :D
- Bob, please give Pleky a contract extension for Christmas?
- One of Price's best games of his young career, coincidentally landing on win #50.
- Habs mood: COCKY! Price's swagger is infectious. That shootout was short and epic. Fuck the Bruins.

Oh, and because of the win tonight, our Bruins friend Sarah Connors gets to wear the barberpole! And the wager is to raise money for Hockey Fights Cancer.
