...News breaks out that Andrei Kostitsyn reportedly told some Russian newspaper through translation that Jacques Martin doesn't talk to him even though he's tried talking to the coach.

Snore...

Do I need to remind you all again that Kostitsyn is one of those "comfort zone" players? A guy who wants to know why something was changed when something was initially working well? A guy who finally has mustered up the courage to actually go talk to his coaches? A player who was given new challenges defensively and didn't fail at those tasks?

He's done everything this organization has asked of him, from playing in Hamilton to changing his game so he could become a more well-rounded player. The least his coach can do is talk to him some times. Don't base your opinion of this player on the heresay of RDS or talk radio.

So go back to your summer slumber, everyone. We all know how much of a stubborn dude Martin is. And just like any job, Kostitsyn can still work without Martin. After all he's got the rest of the guys in the room to turn to.

Adventures in Montreal: Angell Woods

Baroo?

Hullo. Ziggy here. I'm the fuzzy little brother of the family.

The other day I went with mum and dad and my big sister N31 for a walk in a mysterious new place called Angell Woods. Since it was such a pretty day I thought other dogs would be there but I only saw one white Labradoodle. It saw me too, but didn't come over to say hi. How rude!

Big sister led me into the woods since mum and dad are bad with maps. It was a wild forest and felt like we were walking on a river bed. The trail we took was cut short too because they closed off a part of it. But that's OK. We took the new path and found a pile of sticks someone tried to make a tipi out of. All those sticks would have been better for me to chew on and eat! But then big sister would probably get mad at me and spray me with water. I don't like that...

Then we took the back end of the trail we wanted to go on 'cause mum saw something stuck in the forest ground. It was some old 1950s car and I have no idea how it got there. Mysterious! But people shouldn't dump their old junk in a protected forest.


We then saw some old stone wall, but dad was complaining about the heat so we went back and walked through a field to go to the car. The forest was pretty hot but a nice breeze cut through the field. There were big crickets jumping away from me too!

Then we went to the ice cream place in Pointe-Claire Village where they had watermelon slushies and I had a bowl of water. I didn't really like their doggy ice cream last time. Besides, I have to watch my weight.

After big sister got some cupcakes and I smelt a bunch of soap in a soap shop we went home. I slept on the sofa until it was time for supper!

That was my Saturday. Did you have a good Saturday too? Woof!

Movie Night: Cowboys & Aliens

Things you should know about this film:

- It's more than just pretty.
- Double-O Cowboy is all kinds of awesome.
- Harrison Ford is 70 years old and can still kick your ass.
- And he's ultra gruff.
- The aliens are ultra nasty.
- Cowboys & Indians vs Aliens. You don't really need a better reason to see the film. C'mon!

Also, prepare for massive facepalm. This trailer was shown before the film. All it was missing was for Liam Neeson to throat-punch a ship.

Get your shit together. Maybe ask Yashin to build the new rink. May as well be paying him to do something.

I can understand the fans voting YES and the blown off by billionaire buyouts overshadowing (with a bit more rational) to vote NO on the arena plan, but for what it's worth I don't want my taxes going to the Quebec City arena. See: concrete slab falling down.

Montreal: Come for the sights, just watch your head.
Or death and taxes, but mostly taxes. And that's it.

Thankfully the Islanders have 4 years to get their shit together. We, however, could get squished by an overpass tomorrow. If such a thing should happen, know that I love you all, and make sure someone takes care of my hamster Pleky.
