Habs 2, Devils 3: Annoying but slightly less so

Start like shit, end like the team we sort of remembered once upon a time this season. Except Markov. He played more like Vokram, Markov's evil twin.

You wanna know what the Devils playing hockey looks like? The Devils are this dog.

I'm done. On to Winnipeg and hopefully more goals by Lars Eller. That's right. Fuck you Winnipeg! YOU'RE GOING DOWN.

Awesome stuff

Derp derp derp...

I mean, gee...a stagnant 2-0 loss in the first game of the season. Trade everyone, fire the coach, fire the GM, fire the Bell Center, fire Youppi. Habs gonna go 0-82 and stamp their name on top of the Nail Yakupov Sweepstakes. (NTTAWWT)!

Just wait 'til game 2 when they face an actual goaltender that won't be knee-knocking terrified. Habs won't score all October!

So yea, I was flipping channels and happened upon the Dunce Cap Chambre who were FROTHING over wtf Joe Callahan is doing here after Woywitka was stolen away on waivers. The whole wild-card in the argument was Alex Henry. According to one old fart in a comfy chair, Henry was doing EVERYTHING the organization ever asked of him and can't find himself a well-deserved roster spot in the top-6 and should really just be in the lineup to beat up Colby Armstrong every time he runs Price. (NTTAWWT)! I feel clarification is needed before the bipolar fanbase jumps on this notion and start inundating the phone lines with this same idea...

1 - Alex Henry can't keep up with the speed of the NHL and can't compensate for it the way Hal Gill can.

2 - Alex Henry is well-respected in the organization and has a very important job: protecting this organization's assets in the AHL from the idiots that can't make the NHL and feel the need to go destroy anything in their sights. He doesn't even need to fight anymore (and frankly no one really wants to fight him). All it takes is a stare and the idiots usually go away.

3 - He's captain of the Bulldogs, and other than protecting the children, he helps the young players with their transition into the pros.

4 - The Bulldogs D looks like this: Henry, St. Denis, Mitera, Stejskal, FitzGerald, Dame-Malka. With Campoli down, Weber playing swing-man, and Emelin the only spare (who should be playing on Sunday), the Habs are 1 more injury away from destroying both lineups. Hence: Callahan, who's off to Hamilton.

Also this notion that no one knew Betts was injured before signing him when they actually didn't sign him but rather picked him off waivers is ridiculous. For one, a team can't waive or even move an injured player so blame the Flyers. We're told it's apparently not a big injury which is obviously how he was able to move so he'll show up some time this month. The penalty kill seems fine without him for now anyway. It's the rest of their game that they have to get going... Though Price and Cammy were sick (and frankly sounded sick since Collingwood) so maybe that has something to do with how this team is playing. (Though Price seems to play better when he's sick). Seriously guys? GET A HAT.

Oh yea, and LARS ELLER IS CLEARED FOR CONTACT! Happy dance accordingly.
